Yes Indeedy Doo KISS Have a KISStory in the land of VooDoo, "New Orleans"
KISS first performed in LOUISIANA
in Baton Rouge 1974...and Yes there is a recording of that show. To my knowledge it's only on audio. I have it on CD.
This would be their "HOTTER THAN HELL TOUR". The next visit to Louisiana was in 1975. They played at an infamous hall
called "The WAREHOUSE". This would be part of their "KISS ALIVE TOUR". Here are some photos from that show!!!
Photo credit goes to the man who took these awesome pictures, he was 13 years old at the
time. Mega KISS fan "Richie Ladner"
reproduction of these photos are restricted.

KISS played Aug 10,1976 Shreveport LA at HIRSCH COLLISEUM.
This would be their "DESTROYER TOUR"
KISS then made a return later the same year on
DEC 5th 1976 - N.O.L.A MUNICIPAL AUDITORIUM.
That tour was "ROCK N ROLL OVER TOUR"
Yes 2 albums in one year and 2 tours. it was the end of one tour and the beginning of another...
Rollin in true rock n roll style KISS returned again on
DEC 27th 1977 LOUISIANA STATE UNIVERSITY Baton Rouge.
This would be their " LOVE GUN TOUR"

In 1978 KISS released Solo albums. during this time they did not
tour, but they did travel around the country doing in-store appearances.. in fact GENE SIMMONS
made a stop to a local record store called "Tape City U.S.A"
in Metairie LA. it was covered by the local T.V. news. I'm searching for that footage. I have seen it only once at a KISS convention in ATLANTA. but it was not for sale( bummer)..(pricks)..anyway...I do however have a
couple of photos of that visit. enjoy...

Later on in 1979 KISS was invited to be the Grand Marshalls of the world famous "Mardi
Gras". Due to the N.O.L.A POLICE dept going on strike that year they found it to be not enough security.
KISS cancelled the visit. The city not aware of this unfortunate cancellation produced special
Mardi Gras coins nicknamed by the locals as doubloons. They came in two colors
red and silver. Hardcore KISS collectors still hold these as
ultra rare and ultra cool collector items, and are sought after worldwide.

As an additional promo item Aucoin mgt. together with Botwell inc. produced these rare t-shirts
for the event.
KISS did however play a show here, on July 5th 1979 in Baton Rouge
at The B.R CIVIC CENTER. This would be called their "Dynasty Tour". Going through personnel
changes at that time held KISS away until...

Feb 14th 1983.. The "CREATURES OF THE NIGHT TOUR"
This show was held at the Louisiana Super dome ,in New Orleans.

Once again KISS had custom "Mardi Gras" coins made this time by a local radio station B-97FM.
This was to honor KISS's visit during the Mardi Gras season of that year.
KISS held a press conference to boast of the new tour and highlight their return to N.O.L.A. Here is a
photo from that conference held at "The Saenger Theatre" on Canal St., New Orleans.

Their next visit was March 19, 1983 in Shreveport, LA @ Hirsch Colliseum.....
